Joining a club or society is a fantastic way to socialise, have fun and enjoy College life.
Sidney has a range of societies on offer, including a variety of sports clubs and subject-based societies which bring the whole subject community together. Students with an idea for a new society are very welcome to propose and establish it.
Check out the selection of clubs and societies available at Sidney via the pages linked below. Sidney Sussex College Students' Union (SSCSU) also produces a guide to Sidney's societies.
In addition to Sidney's societies, there is a huge range of University-wide societies which Sidney students can join. The Students' Union offers a helpful and searchable A-Z directory of active societies.
Beyond Societies
Facilities at Sidney
We know that, alongside studying and committing to organised societies, it is important that students find time to relax and socialise. Sidney can boast a range of facilities and opportunities which facilitate this. This includes undergraduate and postgraduate common rooms, a student-run bar complete with table football and a pool table, a completely free on-site gym, a music practice room, and beautiful gardens for our students to enjoy.
