The IT Team at Sidney are available to help with your IT queries. They are happy to answer any questions and are prepared to welcome new users to the College computing facilities.

Sidney Sussex IT Support

There are six members of IT staff. Head of IT is in charge of the general computing facilities within the College:

  • Senior Network and Communications Engineer
  • Computer Officer
  • Junior Computer Officer
  • Technical Web Officer
  • IT Assistant

IT Office location: Q11, first floor of Garden Court

General office open hours: 9.00am and 5.00pm (may not always be manned)

Student help hours: 10.00am to 12.00pm and 2.00pm to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday

Sidney IT systems vulnerability period: 6.00am to 9.00am, every Tuesday and Wednesday. Sidney IT will conduct any essential maintenance to its IT systems during its scheduled vulnerability period.

University Information Services (UIS) Service Desk

In the first instance, contact the Sidney IT team and we can advise you on the best course of action to get the support you need. UIS host a variety of services frequently used by members of the University so you may need to contact them directly to report issues or request assistance.
