Our events policies:

        Filming and photography

There is often filming and photography at events, which may be shared on the College’s website and social media, and also on the Sidney Flickr account (which can be viewed by the general public).

Any guests who do not wish to be filmed or photographed should inform a member of the Development and Alumni Relations Office on the day or email development@sid.cam.ac.uk before the event.

       Amendments to alumni events

Once you have booked for an event online, our system does not allow changes to be made to your booking form or personal details.

Should you wish to amend your booking, please contact development@sid.cam.ac.uk.

       Event cancellations and ticket reallocation

Cancellations can be made by phone, post, or e-mail. Where an event is over subscribed any unwanted tickets must be returned to the Development Office so that they can be offered to the next person on the waiting list.

If your booking was made online please enclose a copy of your original receipt or confirmation e-mail including your reference number.

      Refunds

Refunds will not usually be issued for cancellations after the closing date for the event has passed or for non-attendance on the day.

Regrettably, we cannot refund guests when bad weather prevents or discourages travel.

All refund requests must be made by the person who made the original booking or the credit/debit card holder.

Please contact the Development and Alumni Relations Office in writing (by e-mail or post) if you wish to enquire about a refund.

Should circumstances arise which cause an event to be postponed, guests will have the option to either receive a full refund or transfer registration to the same event at any new date.

     Payment

The Development and Alumni Relations Office offers online booking and payment for most events. Alternatively, you can call the Development and Alumni Relations Office on +44 (0)1223 338851.

To pay by cheque please write to Development and Alumni Relations Office, Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge CB2 3HU, enclosing a cheque made payable to ‘Sidney Sussex College’ for the correct amount and include your name, address and all guest details (including any dietary and access requirements).

    Data Protection

Sidney is committed to protecting your personal information and being transparent about the information we hold. All data is securely held by Sidney's Development and Alumni Relations Office and will be treated confidentially and with sensitivity for the sole benefit of Sidney Sussex College. By booking for an event you agree to let Sidney Sussex College hold your information under the Data Protection Act in accordance with our Data Protection Statement for Alumni and Supporters which is available to view online.
