Dr Rebecca Kilner has been named as the winner of the Zoological Society of London's Scientific Medal for 2010. The medal is awarded to a research scientist with no more than 15 years post-doctoral experience for distinguished work in zoology.
Dr Kilner is a Fellow in Natural Sciences and Reader in Evolutionary Biology. Her research examines social evolution, animal communication and co-evolution, particularly in birds. With her collaborators she has conducted research in Britain, New Zealand and Australia.
