Students and staff have snapped some snowy shots of Sidney, as the Beast from the East settles on our doorstep.

Much of Europe has been gripped by a cold spell which has carried freezing winds and snow across the continent, and seen temperatures drop well below zero.

Nicknamed "the Beast from the East" in the UK, "the Siberian bear" by the Dutch, and "snow cannon" by Swedes, the chilly weather has placed spring firmly on hold.

Come rain, shine, or snow, Sidney continues to dazzle, and our staff and students have been sending in some of their snowy Sidney snaps for us all to enjoy. You can take a look at these below!

Thank you to everyone who shared their photos with us.
