Join poet Clive Wilmer at the launch of his Faber edition of the Selected Poems of Thom Gunn.

Thom Gunn, who died in 2004, was one of the finest poets of the late 20th century. Clive, who is a Fellow of Sidney Sussex, was a friend of Gunn’s for nearly 40 years, and this occasion will celebrate the publication of a new and annotated Selected Poems of Thom Gunn, edited by Clive Wilmer and published by Faber & Faber.

The event, Thom Gunn, Revived and Remembered, will take place in the Milstein Room at the University Library, Cambridge at 5.30-6.45pm on Thursday 26 October 2017. There will be a talk, readings, and a display of Gunn's correspondence. There will be refreshments available from 5.00pm, and Clive's talk will start at 5.30pm.

During the period 23 October – 10 November, there will be a small exhibition of Gunn publications and manuscripts, curated by Clive Wilmer, in the UL Entrance Hall; and on 26 October a selection from Gunn’s correspondence with Wilmer will be displayed in the Milstein Room.
