Composer-in-Residence Eric Whitacre has been nominated for a Grammy award for his CD Light & Gold.

Whitacre's disc will face competition in the Best Choral Performance category from, amongst others, Trinity College's CD Beyond All Mortal Dreams.  The Grammy awards ceremony will take place in Los Angeles on 12th February 2012.
