Two Sidney lawyers have received Diplomas from The Hague Academy of International Law.

These competitive and prestigious Diplomas are awarded by The Hague Academy of International Law after intense short courses of study and rigorous written and oral examination. This year the Academy awarded three Diplomas, two to graduate students at Sidney Sussex.

Hayk Kupelyants, who becomes the first Armenian to be awarded the Diploma, completed his oral examination in ‘Companies in Private International Law’. Fernando Lusa Bordin, the only recipient this year to specialise in public international law, was examined on ‘preemptive self defense’.
