Sidney Fellow speaks to BBC about promoting women in engineering.

Professor Dame Ann Dowling was one of several leading engineers interviewed on the BBC Radio 4 programme ‘Britain’s Hidden Talent: Women Engineers’. The BBC spoke to Sidney's Fellow of Engineering at the Engine Shed in Bristol, where she was introducing an audience of secondary school students and university undergraduates to the breadth of modern engineering and the many career-paths which emerge from it. Dame Ann addressed the question of the UK’s low proportion of female engineers, and suggested ways in which both engineers and the media might better promote the profession to attract a greater range of young people.
