Sidney alumnus Jason Varuhas awarded prestigious Law Faculty prize.

Former PhD student and Evan Lewis-Thomas scholar Jason Varuhas has been awarded a Yorke Prize by the Law Faculty for his doctoral thesis 'Damages for Breaches of Human Rights: A Tort-Based Approach'. After graduating with his PhD from Sidney Sussex in 2011, Jason has been elected to a Research Fellowship at Christ's College, where he is now working on converting his thesis into a monograph.

The Yorke Prize is awarded annually by the Faculty Board of Law for essays or dissertations on a legal subject. Entry is open to registered graduate students and recent graduates of the University. Congratulations to Jason on this achievement.

The Council of Sidney Sussex College awards Evan Lewis-Thomas Law Studentships for research or advanced courses in Law or cognate subjects. The studentships provide support for a minimum of one and a maximum of three years.
