Lily read History at Pembroke College, Cambridge, where she continued to complete an MPhil in Political Thought and Intellectual History, exploring theories of international development. During that time she discovered an enthusiasm for event management as Events Secretary for the Cambridge Inter-Collegiate Christian Union and a love of choral singing with the Choir of Pembroke College. Lily witnessed the positive social impact of Cambridge student initiatives: from running singing workshops for children from disadvantaged backgrounds with the Choir of Pembroke College to leading a team on the Cambridge Hub’s Social Innovation Programme.

After graduating Lily moved into the charity sector, working as Communications and Operations Assistant at Tyndale House, an international research institute for Biblical Studies in Cambridge. It was there that she saw Development in action first-hand. Realising that this exactly suited her passions and skill-set, Lily moved to join the Development and Membership Office at Sidney in April 2022.

As Development Officer, Lily is excited to share the College’s vision for world-changing education within a vibrant and supportive environment and to invite alumni to invest in Sidney’s future. She particularly focusses on providing opportunities for recent graduates to support the college and developing a regular giving campaign.
