Hi everyone! I’m Katy and I’m a first year Classics student from Reading. As LGBT+ Officer, it is my job to represent and advocate for all LGBT+ identifying students in College. I myself identify as bisexual but I represent all the wonderful different gender and sexual identities under the umbrella of ‘LGBT+’.
My role ranges from being part of the welfare team, organising events and socials, to campaigning for meaningful change in college in terms of representation and inclusion of the LGBT+ community.
I'm hoping to get the Transgender Pride flag flying, to help create a stronger sense of community within the LGBT+ community (especially given covid) and to be a listening ear for anyone who needs it!
