Thiago received a double undergraduate degree in Control Engineering from ENSTA ParisTech, in France, and the University of Campinas, in Brazil, as well as a MSc in Robotics from the University of Paris. Thiago completed his PhD at Churchill College in Cambridge in 2020. His PhD research proposed new techniques for estimating mathematical models of biological neurons. Thiago recently obtained a postdoctoral research grant from the Kavli Institute to apply estimation and control algorithms to study the neuromodulation of living neural circuits in real-time during electrophysiology experiments.
