Hi, I’m Rosa, a second year MML student studying French and Russian from Nottingham.
The Green and Ethical Affairs Officer represents the student body to College about issues related to sustainability, ethics and climate justice in general. It's a wide-ranging role about how to make Sidney greener on many levels from better recycling, less food waste and more vegetarian options to pushing the College to stop indirectly investing millions of pounds in oil companies. I sit on the Buildings & Environment Committee with members of College to contribute feedback from students, and also attend general JCR meetings.
I hope to improve the variety of vegetarian options at hall to reduce College's meat consumption and continue recycling education so that we as a College maximise what we recycle.
