Sidney Sussex is a hidden gem inside the centre of Cambridge. Amongst the hustle and bustle of the city, Sidney lies behind its grand front door and opens up into a homely and beautiful College.
Sidney is a relatively small College which I have really enjoyed as it has meant I’ve had the opportunity to meet lots of people and get to know them well.
The atmosphere is so welcoming and friendly and I knew straight away from the open day that I wanted to apply. I also decided on Sidney Sussex because it was close to everything that I could’ve wanted it to be; a short walk from my faculty, very near to nightlife spots, and on the doorstep of some great coffee shops.
Despite being central, Sidney also offers some of the quaintest and most picturesque gardens which are lovely to lounge about in during the spring and summer months with friends.
I’ve really enjoyed my time at Sidney and I think that whoever you are you can always find something to thrive in. I’ve really enjoyed playing mixed netball for Sidney and it’s been a great way to get to know people from other years as well as representing ourselves on a collegiate level.
Sidney is definitely an underdog when it comes to sporting achievements and is the perfect fit for those who are passionate about sport as well as those who want to try something new.
