The College Registrar is responsible for all aspects of College governance, supporting the Principal Officers in ensuring compliance by the College with relevant University, College and other legislative requirements.

The role includes acting as Secretary to the Governing Body and College Council, and offers administrative support to a number of the other College committees and working groups.  In addition, the post has general oversight of the College’s committee structures, and keeps under review policies, regulations and processes to ensure compliance in specific areas such as Data Protection and Prevent.

Prior to joining Sidney Sussex in May 2020, Tracy worked for Salford University for three years in its Strategy Directorate; she supported the Science school in a business partner role, helping with improvement planning, risk management and analysis of the School’s performance. She has also previously worked for the Arts Council, the Charity Commission, and for the sector skills council for the Justice sector. She has a legal background, having studied law at Cardiff University (formerly UWIST) and then qualifying as a solicitor whilst working for a Hertfordshire firm of solicitors. She has also trained and worked in the careers guidance field, including advising sixth form/FE students on HE and subject choice.
