On Wednesday, Sidney made 132 offers to prospective undergraduates, who applied to study at Cambridge last October.
Of our 132 offers, 19 had applied to other Colleges and were chosen from the Winter Pool by our Directors of Studies. Another 42 of our applicants received offers from other Colleges. Altogether, this means that 21% of students who applied to Sidney were offered a place at the University.
These offers are made at the penultimate stage of the Admissions process, and applicants at this stage have worked extremely hard over the past few months, to complete all components of the Cambridge Admissions process.
The final stage, offer confirmation, happens in August, when most offer holders will receive their exam results. We wish them all the best for their remaining pre-University studies and exams.
Sidney’s Stats
Of our home offer holders
- 72% attended a state school
- 50% had at least one indicator of educational or socioeconomic disadvantage
- 7% have received Free School Meals
- 28% are eligible for the August Reconsideration Pool (ARP). The ARP allows Cambridge to recruit applicants from under-represented groups who weren't offered a place in January but went on to meet or exceed our entry requirements in their summer exams.
Overall, including deferred offers, Sidney has made 134 offers for 2026 entry. This number will be increased by our Foundation Year places.
