I’m delighted to confirm that the Sidney Choir will be visiting Berlin this April and performing at the beautiful Luisenkirche in Berlin-Charlottenburg.

We’d love to make this a special occasion for our alumni in Berlin and the surrounding area by bringing everyone together for an evening of music, conversation, and community.

What's planned:

  • Concert: Saturday 11 April 2026 at 6.00pm - free of charge
  • Dinner: After the recital, there will be a short drinks reception in the church and then we invite you to join us for a three-course meal at Lemke am Schloss, just a short walk away .

Dinner tickets are €49 per person, and you’re welcome to bring a guest. The College will cover the cost of drinks.

We hope the event will be a relaxed opportunity to catch up with fellow alumni, meet new faces, and celebrate Sidney’s visit to Berlin.

Stay connected
With over 130 alumni based in Germany -our third‑largest alumni community by country - we’re keen to help you stay connected between in‑person visits, which naturally only take place every few years. We’re therefore exploring the idea of setting up a German Sidney Sussex WhatsApp Community, or a similar platform, as part of our wider efforts to connect alumni around the world. This would offer a simple way for local alumni to stay in touch, share ideas, and support informal gatherings. We would be especially grateful to hear from anyone keen to take a lead in shaping and coordinating this, and welcome expressions of interest via the booking form or by emailing nr399@sid.cam.a​c.uk.
