Professor of General Practice at the NHS
Professor Rajesh Varma is a Sidney Sussex alumnus and UK-based Professor of General Practice. He read Pharmacology and Medicine at the University of Cambridge before qualifying from Guy’s & St Thomas’ and later serving as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist. He is now a GP Partner with specialist interests in cardiometabolic medicine and women’s health, and sits on a NICE guideline committee. His academic work focuses on medical education, clinical systems innovation and the application of AI to enhance training and patient outcomes.
