Funding award for Sidney Fellow

EPSRC award for Dr Amalio Fernandez-Pacheco.

Fellow in Natural Sciences Dr Amalio Fernandez-Pacheco has been awarded a five year Early Career Research Fellowship by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) to investigate the writing of nanomagnets using focused electron and ion beams.

A member of the Thin Film Magnetism Group at the world famous Cavendish Laboratory, Dr Fernandez-Pacheco’s new research could have important implications for the future of data storage and electronic processing devices.
