Sidney's Access Bus goes to Merseyside

During the week of 14th-18th April, seven Sidney students are taking time out from exam revision to promote access to Cambridge in the Merseyside area.

The students, who range from first to fourth-years, will be touring the area in a minibus, visiting around 20 state schools and colleges. All seven volunteers attended state schools, and they want to share their experiences of Cambridge with Year 11 and 12 pupils. They hope to debunk some of the myths associated with Cambridge, and explain what the University has to offer.

The Access Bus is a new initiative for Sidney, and was organised by fourth-year linguist Priyanka Rao, who is herself from Merseyside. The other volunteers are: Chris Barrow, Melissa Conboy, Katherine Hirst, Ruth Jackson, Tess Sanders and Robert Waddingham.
