How to Change your passwords

The Hermes, Desktop Services and Raven passwords are 'case sensitive'. Information about choosing a good password can be found atĀ

UIS Password (Raven, Hermes, Desktop Services (DS))

Use the UIS Password ManagementĀ Application to change the following types of password:

  • UIS Password
  • Raven
  • Hermes
  • Desktop Services

Note: If you still use separate passwords for Raven, Hermes and Desktop Services, changing any one of them using the UIS Password Management Application will replace them ALL with a single UIS Password.

Forgotten UIS Password (Raven, Hermes, Desktop Services (DS))

If you forget your UIS Password (or any of the following services if you use individual passwords; Raven, Hermes or DS) please come visit the Computer Office in Q11, Garden Court between 10:00 and 12:00 or 14:00 and 16:00 bringing your Photo ID.

You will be issued a 'Password Reset Token' which can be redeemed at the UIS Password Management Application by selecting 'Use Token'

If the first two options are not available, you can call into UIS Reception, bringing proof of identity with you. If you cannot physically visit then you can try ringing them on +44 (0)1223 334600 to see if they can assist you over the phone.
