Alumni Reunion August 2018

For those who matriculated in 1959 and before

On behalf of the College, I would like to invite you to an Alumni Reunion at Sidney on Saturday 18 August 2018.

As an alumnus myself (Engineering, 1983), I look forward to Alumni Reunions as they are a wonderful way to meet old friends, reminisce about our time at Sidney, and catch up on the events that have shaped our lives since graduation. As is traditional at our reunions, I would encourage you to bring your partner and/or other family members to afternoon tea in the Cloister Court Garden 3:30pm - 5:30pm, so that they too can enjoy the atmosphere of Sidney.  The Reunion for College members will commence with pre-dinner drinks at 7pm in the Master's Lodge.

While much in College has of course changed over the past 59 years, you will be pleased to hear that Professor Derek Beales is still an active member of our community. Now Emeritus Fellow of Modern History, Derek graduated in 1953 and was elected to a Research Fellowship in 1955, studying the relationships between English and Italian politics in the mid-nineteenth century.

Since your last Decade Lunch in 2017, work has continued on the College’s ambitious project to replace its kitchens and create exciting new facilities that will benefit the whole Sidney community. We will be organising informal tours of the gardens and buildings so you can see some of the changes for yourself.

I very much hope that I will have the pleasure of welcoming you back to Sidney in August.

The closing date for bookings is 20 July 2018 at 12:00pm
