I did my undergraduate degree in Modern History and Politics at St Catherine's College, Oxford. After that I moved up to Edinburgh for a year to do an MSc in Gender History. I wrote my dissertation on women's welfare clinics in the 1920s which required lots of hunting for sources and using different libraries and archives. I am more than happy to put the detective skills I learnt throught this to use in helping students with their research.

Since September 2011 I have worked part-time in King's College Library. I spent three months working in the Admissions Office of Magdalene College. I have also done various kinds of voluntary work, including teaching IT skills to elderly people. Most recently I have done some work with FLACK, the Cambridge magazine written by homeless people.

I work in the library emptying the returns cupboard, processing new books and journals, shelving, and generally helping to keep the library tidy and organised. I also answer queries about the library and other information resources around the university.
