Christopher Hill is Emeritus Professor of International Relations, and a member of the Department of Politics and International Studies (POLIS). From 1974-2004 he taught in the Department of International Relations at the London School of Economics and Political Science, where he was the Montague Burton Professor from 1991. He is also a Senior Adjunct Professor at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in Bologna.
He has published widely in the areas of foreign policy analysis, European politics and general international relations. He is a past Chair of the British International Studies Association, and was elected a Fellow of the British Academy in 2007. He was a member of the RAE2008 Panel for Politics and International Studies.
He is currently engaged with colleagues on a book to mark the centenary of the Royal Institute of International Affairs (Chatham House).
