Nomination for Mapungubwe Interpretation Centre in South Africa.

The Centre in Mapungubwe National Park, which was designed by Peter Rich, John Ochsendorf and Sidney Fellow and Director of Studies in Architecture Michael Ramage, is one of twenty projects that have been nominated for the prestigious Aga Khan Award for Architecture. The Award specifically aims to recognise architecture that contributes a positive impact on quality of life. It was first awarded in 1977. This year's finalists will be announced in September.

The nomination is also timely for the College, as Peter Rich is currently a Visiting Fellow at Sidney Sussex.

You can find out more about the Award by visiting the website of the Aga Khan Award for Architecture.
