Dr Frances Hall, Sidney Fellow and Chief Investigator of the TACTIC-R trial, joined a panel during the Cambridge Festival event to discuss setting up clinical trials safely and quickly during a pandemic.

Last year, Dr Frances Hall and a team of clinicians and scientists rapidly established a clinical trial to test whether drugs that are already in use to treat other immune-related conditions can prevent the development of severe COVID-19 infection. As part of the new Cambridge Festival, Dr Hall discussed setting up clinical trials safely and quickly during a pandemic alongside Professor John Bradley, Director of Research at Cambridge University Hospitals, and Professor Ian Wilkinson, Director of the Cambridge Clinical Trials Unit. The discussion focused on the steps they took (and why) to set up the TACTIC-R repurposing trial.
