Success for Sidney Rowers

Sidney Sussex Boat Club's rowers have completed their most successful May Bumps since for a number of years. Six boats competed during the four days of racing on the Cam with all boats bumping up at least once during the course of the week. In the Mitchell's Cup competition, which measures success of clubs as a whole, Sidney finished equal 9th out of the 31 clubs eligible in the competition, which reflected the overall success of the week.

Of particular note was the performance of the 2nd Womens' VIII who followed up gaining blades in the Lent Bumps with promotion to Division 4 in the Mays.

The Boat Club are also planning a special dinner for former alumni rowers to take place in November 2008, and further details will be publicised during the summer.
