Profile of Sidney's architecture society.

In the first of a new series of profiles of Sidney's student societies we take a look at Sidney's architecture society, the Sidney Desiyn Group.

Many Sidney subjects have their own societies, which organise a range of talks and events during the academic year.  But until this year there had been no architecture society, something the current students were keen to change. As group president Sofia Singler explains, the Architecture students at Sidney 'set up the first college-specific Architecture society in the whole University'.

And the group has also put together a new website which showcases the students' design work and advertises events.  It is also hoped that the website will help potential students learn more about what is involved in studying architecture at Cambridge and Sidney.  The website features some of the work that students have been completing as part of their portfolio tasks, including Sofia's recent work plans for a day centre in Stratford.
