Racism has no place in our community and Sidney Sussex College stands in solidarity with our BAME members. Please read this statement from the Master.

"The whole Sidney community supports the statement made by the Vice-Chancellor on the horrific actions that led to the death of George Floyd. We should abhor all instances of racism, which have no place in our world or in our community. Standing in solidarity with our BAME members, we recognise that Sidney, like all institutions, must reflect, learn and strive to do better.

We hope that all of our students and staff know that Sidney's own Chaplain, as well as the University's Counselling Service and Equality and Diversity Team, are here to help at this profoundly difficult and troubling time".

Professor Richard Penty FREng

Master
