Sidney student wins Nanoparticles poster award

Sidney graduate student Simon Payne has been awarded Best Poster at the 15th Conference on Combustion Generated Nanoparticles, held at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH).

Simon's work examines the parameters affecting the mechanisms governing the deposit of particles that are criticial to Diesel Particular Filters. These filters mitigate the health risks associated to diesel engines which are becoming increasingly significant in global transportation as a means to lower CO2 emissions.
