Graduating Part III mathematicians moving on to further research.

Part III mathematics students at Sidney are celebrating their academic success with excellent results that include 3 Distinctions and 1 Merit.  Each from the cohort of 8 students will continue on to graduate courses next year, having accepted offers from Cambridge, Oxford, MIT, Imperial College, UCL, York and Edinburgh.

Oli Gould, for example, will be going to the Theoretical Physics Group at Imperial College, London, where he hopes to work on the MOEDAL experiment at CERN which is looking for magnetic monopoles.  Gustav Mogull is also going on to a PhD in theoretical physics, at the University of Edinburgh, possibly including research into scattering amplitudes.

We wish them the best of luck as they continue their academic careers.

Sidney welcomes applications to this Part III course which is open to those from outside Cambridge. For more information on the course and how to apply visit the admissions section of the College website.
