The rhythm section of the Sidney Jazz Band have collaborated in a major workshop in Cambridge, led by top instrumentalists, composers and bandleaders Clark Tracey and Arnie Somogyi. Along with musicians from the Cambridge University Jazz Orchestra, Anglia Ruskin University and the region, Sidney students participated in sessions covering improvisational technique and theory, and received practical guidance on performing in concerts with players they knew well and those they'd never met before.

Special thanks are due to David Steward (1976), Dr Kevin Flanagan and Anglia Ruskin University.

The Cambridge Jazz Project is very grateful for the support of the Waldmann Family Jazz Fund, which promotes the study and performance of jazz at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge.
