Sidney Fellows contribute to this year's Cambridge Festival of Ideas.

Sidney Fellows in English Clive Wilmer and Dr Joanna Craigwood will be speaking at this year's Cambridge Festival of Ideas.

Joanna Craigwood will speaking about 'Books without borders', exploring the role that books and manuscripts played in cultural diplomacy between the sixteenth and eighteenth centuries. Her talk is from 6 to 7.30pm on Tuesday 29 October at the Faculty of English on West Road.  It is unticketed.

Clive Wilmer will be contributing to a series of talks on 'How to Read'. In these sessions academics from the Faculty of English will explore samples of poems and prose. There will be three unticketed events, on Friday 25 October, Monday 28 October and Thursday 31 October.  Clive Wilmer will be speaking at the session on Monday 28th, which will look at war poetry. They will take place between 6.30 and 7.45pm, also in the Faculty of English.
