Osborn Director of Music, Dr David Skinner, leads musical events celebrating the 500th anniversary of the coronation of Henry VIII. His professional consort Alamire has recently released a CD of music written for and by the King. The programme will be toured extensively in the USA and UK in 2009 and 2010; home concerts include Trinity College, Cambridge (5 May), the Divinity School, Bodleian Library, Oxford (7 May) and the British Library on the actual anniversary date (24 June).

The CD and Dr Skinner's musical editions will feature in a facsimile of a Royal Choirbook gifted to Henry VIII in 1518 (British Library, MS Roy. 11.e.xi) published by the Folio Society. Dr Skinner is also musical advisor to David Starkey's Channel 4 series on Henry VIII to be broadcast from 31 March. Further information may be found on the Alamire website.
