Residents at Hunters Down care home in Huntingdon were treated to a special performance by members of Sidney Sussex College Choir in Cambridge last week.

The Choir invited a group of residents to Sidney for a concert, and it went down a treat!

The Hunts Post reported that Pearl Ewing, the activities co-ordinator at the Hartford Road home, said:

“The choir performed in Sidney Sussex College Chapel which the residents thought was wonderful in itself to visit, admiring the beauty of the building inside and out.

“When the choir starting singing, it took our breath away. The young adults sang with the most harmonious voices that we have ever heard.”

Choir members stopped to speak to guests after the performance and were invited by residents to perform for others at Hunters Down.

Mrs Ewing added: “This is such a wonderful idea and maybe other choirs, drama schools, and academies will take up this innovation as well.”
