Since the New Year, Sidney's admissions staff have been busy visiting schools, colleges and Higher Education fairs, travelling as far afield as the Channel Islands and Newcastle. We have also welcomed several school groups to the College, to give pupils a taste of student life in Cambridge.

On 7th March, Year 11 students from Hyde Technology College in Manchester spent the day with us. They met some current students and were taken on a tour of the College, where they were able to find out about living and studying at Sidney. They also learnt about the background to the Northern Rock crisis in an academic taster session with Max Beber, Fellow in Economics.

Year 11 students from a group of Wigan schools visited on 13th-14th March. As well as learning about Cambridge, they participated in a chocolate-themed science workshop, and enjoyed a murder mystery evening at Emmanuel College.

Sidney's admissions staff are always happy to welcome school groups who wish to visit, and can arrange a variety of academic and social activities to suit different age groups. Please contact the Admissions Office for further information or to arrange a visit.
