Dr Özge Öner, Sidney Fellow and Director of Studies in Land Economy, has been awarded the Young Researcher Award 2019 in Sweden.

This highly prestigious award is presented annually to one Swedish researcher under the age of 35 from the fields of Economics and Management Sciences. This award is sponsored by Triton, and administrated by the Swedish Entrepreneurship Forum.

Öner received the award for her research on the geographical aspects of entrepreneurship (especially in the retail and tourism sectors), entrepreneurship (mainly among foreign-born), and the importance of local institutions for the business environment.

The Entrepreneurship Forum provide the annual prize sum of SEK 150,000.
