Decision Day at Sidney
Last Thursday, Sidney made 136 offers to prospective undergraduates from all over the world, who applied to study at Cambridge last October.
We are pleased to say that of our home offer holders, 73.8% are from state schools, an increase from last year’s 67.6%.
Of our 136 offers, 28 had applied to other Colleges and were chosen from the Winter Pool by our Directors of Studies. Moving in the opposite direction were 27 of our direct applicants, who were made offers by other Colleges. Altogether, this means that 25.1% of students who applied directly to Sidney were offered a place at the University.
All students who received offers underwent the famously rigorous Cambridge admissions process, working hard over the past few months to secure an offer from the University.
Places will be confirmed in August, when most offer holders will receive their exam results. We wish them all the best for the rest of their courses, as well as in their summer exams.
