Dr Ljilijana Fruk recently delivered a TEDx talk on her research into bio-nano hybrid materials for medical diagnostics, targeted drug delivery, and tissue engineering.

Ljilijana discussed the experience of training for a TEDx talk with her Department, and noted, "I was not aware how much planning goes into a TEDx talk, and the team in Germany was incredibly well organised. After extensive talks about the topic, which started in July,  they decided they were interested in medical applications of nanotechnology more than the other topics I suggested. The moment we made that decision in September, I was assigned a coach who followed me all the way from creating the storyboard to the final performance."
