Listen again to Choral Vespers

BBC Radio broadcast 3 Choral Vespers live from Sidney Sussex on Wednesday 27th April. The service is available on the BBC iPlayer and will be repeated on Radio 3 on Sunday 1st May at 4pm.

This is the first time that the BBC has broadcast live from Sidney. The service was led by the Pastoral Dean, Revd Dr Peter Waddell, and the Choir was directed by Dr David Skinner. The cantor was Revd. Dr Jonathan Arnold, Chaplain of Worcester College, Oxford.

Sidney Sussex would like to thank Stephen Shipley who produced the broadcast, as well as the fantastic staff from the BBC's Outdoor Broadcast department. One of their most difficult jobs was to back their lorry out of the King Street car park; a delicate exercise that lasted over thirty minutes! We are extremely grateful to them for connecting the College to its many friends at home and abroad.
