Emma Rampton becomes University Registrary

Sidney Sussex Fellow Emma Rampton has been appointed as the University's Registrary, the 27th person and the first woman to hold the post since it was created in 1506.

The Registrary is the University's principal administrative officer, with responsibility for an annual budget of £100 million and some 1,000 staff across the University.

Amongst other duties, the Registrary or her deputies form part of the ceremonial officers at degree ceremonies: Emma is pictured with Master of Sidney Sussex Professor Richard Penty during the post-congregation procession.
