Professor Michael Lamb has been awarded The G. Stanley Hall Award for Distinguished Contribution to Developmental Psychology by the American Psychological Association.

Michael Lamb is Professor of Psychology and Director of Studies in Psychological and Behavioural Sciences at Sidney Sussex.

The G. Stanley Hall Award is given in the field of development psychology to recognise achievements and contributions in areas such as 'research, student training, and other scholarly endeavors', as is explained on the American Psychological Association's website.

His research into the collection of interview evidence in child abuse cases was recently profiled by the University of Cambridge's Research News website.
