Dame Ann Dowling on popular programme

Sidney Fellow in Engineering Professor Dame Ann Dowling is this week's guest on  the enduringly popular BBC Radio 4 programme Desert Island Discs.  As well as selecting eight pieces of music, Professor Dowling talks to Kirsty Young about her career in engineering. 

Professor Dowling is President of the Royal Academy of Engineering, the first woman to take up the role, and was recently awarded the prestigious Order of Merit by the Queen.
