Sidney Sussex Choir's new CD of music by Thomas Weelkes has been released.

The disc features choral and instrumental music by the noted seventeenth century English composer Thomas Weelkes, conducted by Osborn Director of Music Dr David Skinner. It was recorded in collaboration with the early music instrumental group Fretwork, who also accompanied the choir on their recent tour to Dubai.

You can listen to the ten minute sampler of the CD by following the link to YouTube.

This is the latest disc by Sidney Sussex Choir to be released on the Obsidian label, following a CD of music by Ludwig Senfl, and an acclaimed survey of music by Thomas Tomkins that received Gramophone Editor's Choice and CD of the Month in February 2008.

The Choir will be singing Evensong at Westminster Abbey on Tuesday 17th April.  You can find out more information by following the link to the Alumni section of the website.
