Sidney chefs are celebrating after becoming Salon Culinaire Medal Winners at the Hospitality 2011 show, held at the NEC in Birmingham.

Three of our chefs took part in the Live Theatre competition, where marks were awarded for working methods, culinary skills, presentation, portion size, taste, flavours, timing and temperature. Head Chef Stephen Mather and Phillip Crouch joined forces to win a silver medal in the Essential Cuisine Chefs Team, whilst Brian Girdlestone was awared a bronze medal in the Churchill traditional pasta dish category. Brian was also presented with a certificate from the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health in recognition of excellent food safety standards.

Our hall and kitchen staff have enjoyed great success in catering competitions in recent years; rightful recognition for producing and serving some of the finest food in Cambridge.
