Sidney alumna and one of our first Mastercard Foundation Scholars speaks about her journey

Sidney welcomed Kehinde Abereoje (MPhil Population Health Sciences) in 2023. 

In 2024 she received a Diana Award for the 'Purple Pact Initiative', a youth-led initiative she co-founded with her twin brother to provide period products, support girls' education and combat period povery through education, advocacy and resources.

Now, in 2025, she speaks with the Mastercard Foundation about the Purple Pact Initiative from its foundation to today, the perspective she gained from her time in Cambridge, and her plans for the future.
