The September Open Days will include both in-person and virtual elements this year. Please visit the central University website for more information and details on how to book. In-person events will take place on the 15th and 16th of September while virtual content will be available from Monday, 5th of September.
This open day is a chance for prospective applicants to visit Sidney Sussex and speak to our Admissions Team in-person. There will be an information stand in the Fellows' Garden from 10.00-15.30 and tours will begin approximately every 10 minutes from the same location, from 09.30-16.15. Those will be delivered by current undergraduate students, who will also be on-hand to answer questions from prospective applicants. Visitors are not required to book to attend either of these.
We also encourage visitors to attend our virtual tour, which includes a lot of useful information such as an application workshop as well videos from the Directors of Studies for each subject. You may also find our Come and Visit page useful.
Lastly, we invite you to participate in our Interview Webinar on the 12th of September, from 17.00 to 18.00. This is a session designed to make you feel comfortable and confident about attending your interview online in December. It features advice from our Admissions Director on how to prepare, and an opportunity to think through how interviews fit into our wider admissions process. Sample questions from a range of subjects will be explored, so we can demystify what happens in an interview, and so you have chance to have a sneak peek at the kind of material you may be asked to respond to.
