A number of building projects have been finished, ready for the beginning of the new academic year.
Contractors have created new student rooms in Sussex House and have completed important maintenance work to South Court and Blundell Court.
Over the summer, building contractors have transformed the old Andrew Room and adjoining seminar rooms in Sussex House into a suite of student rooms, complete with a new kitchen and bathroom facilities.
Work to address steel corrosion in South Court has also been finished. The project involved lifting the old terrace and exposing and treating the steel beams. A new terrace has been laid, and the old stonework balustrade restored and raised on a new plinth.
The Blundell Court terrace has also been raised and replaced by roofing contractors. The stairs have been treated and a new layer of asphalt and paving installed on the terrace.
You can see photographs of the different stages of these projects by following the links to the Summer Building Works stories on the right hand side of this page.
