Sidney participates in Cambridge early music festival.
A special choral Vespers service will take place on Friday 18th May at 6.45pm in place of Choral Evensong, as Sidney Choir is taking part in the Cambridge Festival of the Voice. All of the music will be by the Renaissance composer Orlande de Lassus.
Also on Saturday 19th, Professor Rosamond McKitterick
will be giving a talk entitled ‘Cultural memory and the resources of the past: setting medieval texts to music’. The talk will be at 6.15pm in Trinity Chapel, and precedes a concert, 'Medieval and Contemporary'. Entry to the talk is free for all ticket holders.
